Westminster College Celebrates Tihar with Vibrant Cultural Festivities

Kathmandu: The Westminster College (TWC), under the British Education Group, successfully organized a Tihar Utsav at its premises in Kupondole. The event, held on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, featured a variety of programs organized by the college’s student club.

The formal program began with the college’s CEO, Mr. Mahendra Raj Kandel, lighting a traditional Panas. Following this, Mr. Kandel and the Head of College, Mr. Arun Lal Joshi, symbolically released balloons into the sky, representing joy, freedom, and celebration.

In his address, CEO Kandel emphasized the importance of cultural preservation and extended his warm wishes for the successful celebrations of Tihar, Nepal Sambat, and Chhath. 

The festival featured a range of events, including a rangoli-making competition, photography and reel-making competitions, musical chairs, diya painting, cultural performances, Deusi-Bhailo songs, and Dandiya dance performances.

Westminster College extends heartfelt wishes to all students and colleagues who participated in the celebrations.
