It acts as the first point of contact, to assist students seeking help, providing guidance, and directing them to relevant resources or departments. It offers a comprehensive array of functions and services, including:

•  Information Dissemination

Providing students with accurate information on important academic dates and deadlines; sharing details about guest lectures and speakers; facilitating students' access to academic guidance by publishing and coordinating personal tutoring schedules; follows up with students in cases of absence, adhering to college policies and ensuring their well-being. 

• Maintain Record

Ensure the Student Management System is up to date by accurately recording daily attendance; maintaining a comprehensive communication log between students and the college; updating student records, and tracking letters issued to students; facilitating the issuance of student identification cards, recommendation letters, etc.

• Accommodation Assistance

Assisting students in finding suitable housing options, particularly for incoming and international students.

•  Event Organisation and Student Engagement

Induction Programme and Student Welcome : The SSD takes charge of organising and coordinating the induction program for new students, ensuring a smooth transition and providing essential information. • Departmental Referrals

• Internship Programme Support

• Summer School Opportunities
